The producers of "55 OR BETTOR" are still having solicitation problems with the various talent agencies that represent Michael Richards, Rhea Perlman, Tony Danza, Doris Roberts, James Avery, Marilu Henner and Ann Meara. The House of Representative's Robert Pine, of CHIP's fame, has read the script and is interested in the part of Ned Liveoak once a final revision has been accepted by the producers and the cast. Rhea Perlman has been difficult to locate, for the role of Tanya Liveoak, and may be replaced by Carol Burnett if she can't be found. Spring of 2009 is projected for the filming of "55 OR BETTOR" to take place in Apple Valley CA, in the High Desert, about 2 hours from LA. The two principle children have yet to be found, for Tillie and Primo, but that task should be simple once our major talent pool has been filled with the afore mentioned super stars. Comments are welcomed for interaction among independent film makers learning how the system works. Thank God for SAG! Aug 13th, 2008 The producers of "55 OR BETTOR" are ready to begin filming in the spring of 2009. The celebrated cast of Michael Richards, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner, Doris Roberts, James Avery, Rhea Perlman, Robert Pine and Ann Meara is presently on hold until SAG contracts can be negotiated. This super talented ensemble of sit-com professionals can only add to the hilarious interaction in this tongue-in-cheek "baby boomer" project. The various talent agencys representing this comedic group of veterans are sticklers when dealing with unsolicited manuscripts, and that has been my major setback. The William Morris Agency was candid concerning the solicitation of Tony Danza and Doris Roberts but at least returned my artist packets. Robert Pine's agency, The House of Representatives, was perhaps the only agency to inform their client of the possibility of employment. These unsolicited guidelines make it even more difficult for independent film makers who need top shelf actors to make their script come to life. The script has been revised from a stage play that was written in 2002 and performed in front of SRO audiences. vamcbuzz247@yahoo.com
